Our Program

In addition to a our Montessori curriculum (learn more HERE) we also include many other aspects of a well rounded educational curriculum

Eco-Friendly Practices

Materials and supplies within the classroom are purchased and consumed with a focus on reusabililty, sustainability and biodegradability. Wood, metal, glass and durable materials are preferred over any form of plastic.

Children participate in creating supplies some of the supplies they use including paints, pigments, paper, natural clays and fibres.

Nature Education

In our beautiful location in the rural forests of the Miocene area in the Cariboo-Chilcotin, we have access to an abundance of beautiful natural areas that host a wide variety of native plants, herbs, and interesting wildlife to play amongest and observe.

The class composts all year round and helps to tend the garden's compost pile in the spring and summer months. This compost is harvested and used in our gardening program. Depending on the interests of the children, flowers, herbs and vegetables will be cultivated.

Recycling and the classification of what materials are made of and what is are recyclable materials is taught and applied daily in the classroom and highly encouraged as an important responsibility.
